Campers will receive a registration packet by email if registered by 4:00 pm on the Friday before their individual camp begins. See registration packet for a list of what to bring, pick-up and drop-off information, camp policies. Please bring your completed medical and liability forms the first day of camp. Each child needs to bring a bag lunch and drink daily and wear paint-friendly clothing. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR THESE CAMPS.


Course Description

NEW!!! Renaissance Child Science Discovery Camp Ages 6-12

Campers will enjoy the wonderful world of earth science while volcanoes are exploding, crystal gardens are growing, and watching for a tornado to touch down! They will also be making edible "rocks" and participating in numerous other wacky science experiments!

 

NEW!!! Renaissance Child Superhero Week

Ages 6-12

Campers will be developing their own original superhero! They get to decide what his/her special qualities will be, where they will go and what they will do. Then, they'll be designing a 3-D model of their superhero. These and numerous other exciting activities will fill this SUPER duper week!

 

NEW!!! Renaissance Child Exploration Camp

Ages 6-12

 Campers will be exploring the fields of science, technology, and the arts. They will discover the principles behind cool chemical reactions, using the computer to create a book of original stories, and expressing their own creative styles through a variety of different art mediums & techniques.

 

NEW!!! Renaissance Child Imagination Station

Ages 6-12

Campers will be writing, illustrating, and telling their own stories. They will also make puppets and masks to bring their stories to life! Then, they will become "mad scientists" as they participate in some of Renaissance Camp's crazy science experiments!

 

Renaissance Child Construction Zone - Ages 6-12

 Put on your hard hat as you enter the construction zone! Campers will be introduced to the basic laws of physics and engineering as they design and build their own inventions and contraptions from recycled materials. Register for this one quickly! We ran out of space last year!!!

 

Art, Music, & Drama Camp - Ages 10-16

During this camp, your child will learn how to write a screenplay, create sets, design costumes, and choreograph dance routines. Ashley King, who assisted with last year's successful camp, is coming back, and we are excited to see what this year holds!!

 

Science & Forensics Camp - Ages 11-15

Participants will receive an introduction to some of the scientific testing and techniques used in the world of forensic science. Participants will also learn about gathering evidence as they solve a mock crime scene and proceed through a mock trial. A special field trip is also planned for this group!

 

Science & Engineering Camp - Ages 11-15

Participants will explore a variety of engineering disciplines and related sciences through exciting hands-on and interactive projects. They will build bridges, a model of a geodesic dome, and take part in other fun challenges and science experiments.

 

Computer Camp for Teens - Ages 11-15

 Campers will discover visual effect techniques through the use of videography, green screen compositing, and effects compositing! Students will assemble their effects clips as a demo reel!
