Class will not meet on February 14th, 2013. You will not need to obtain a visitor's parking tag. Be sure you are parked legally (in any student/faculty parking space) not in service vehicle or handicap spaces unless authorized to do so.
This course provides an overview of skills and knowledge required to function successfully as a pharmacy technician. Every topic cannot be covered during class time, therefore, some self-study will be required. The course may be used for individuals working in retail or hospital pharmacy to prepare for the PTCB exam or to improve their job skills.
Pharmacy technicians work in community or hospital pharmacies, assisting pharmacists in handling medications and serving patients. Individuals passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board examination become nationally certified pharmacy technicians.
There are no prerequisites for this program, however, you must be 18 years of age, a high school graduate/GED prior to taking the certification exam with no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions that are drug related. Textbook is included with registration fees.
Participants will need a four-function calculator and notebook for class.
To cancel a registration, you must notify our office at least seven (7) days prior to start of class to be eligible for any refund. There will be a $50.00 processing fee assessed to all cancellations/refunds. There are no refunds once the course begins, however, you can transfer to the next available course should circumstances arise that you not be able to attend.
