Desire for learning drives the programming for ACL, and there are no restrictions to membership; no degree or diploma is required to participate, no exams or grades, and no age limits apply. Our membership springs from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences, and this diversity is reflected in the range of study groups, forums, classes and activities that members choose to offer.

Membership costs for the Fall 2023 session is $45.00 per person until September 12, 2023 . After September 12, 2023, membership costs will be $50.00. Membership costs cover all fall session classes offered by the Alliance for Continued Learning. Call the Office of Professional Development at 423-439-8084 for more information.

Regular classes will meet from 10:00 a.m. till noon at the Conference Room in Food City, 920 North State of Franklin Road. The start time for the opening day session is also 10:00 a.m. Turn right as you go into the store. You will find stairs or an elevator to the second floor. Please wear or bring a sweater or jacket to the meetings. If ETSU is closed due to inclement weather, ACL will not meet.

One free meeting is offered to anyone who has never attended ACL in the past. Registration is still required; please phone the Office of Professional Development at the number above to register.
