Heather Dye Dr. Heather Dye joined the social work faculty at East Tennessee State University in 2015. She earned her MSW from Radford University in 2005, and completed her Ph.D. in social work through Norfolk State University in 2014. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) in the state of Virginia. She has a strong clinical background garnered from a decade of practice experience with an array of specializations in best practice treatment modalities that include: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Dr. Dye is an Intensely Trained Dialectical Behavior Therapist (DBT). She trained with a team from Cumberland Mountain Community Services in Tazewell County, Virginia and worked under the guidance of Marsha Linehan and her staff at Behavioral Tech to complete a one-year training to learn how to develop and implement DBT programs. Dr. Dye developed and implemented a DBT program for Highlands Community Services in Abingdon VA in 2008 and provided DBT individual therapy for the participants. She is currently working to develop a Life Skills course for ETSU using the DBT skills Manual as the foundation for teaching life skills.

Rob Russell Rob Russell is currently the Director for the Center of Academic Achievement at East Tennessee State University. He also appeared on the game show Jeopardy in November of 2015. He was previously director of the former ETSU Writing and Communication Center. He teaches an American literature course in the Department of Literature and Language each semester, and is a guitarist, singer and songwriter for the band The JV Squad.
