ETSU's Office of Professional Development is pleased to offer the Renaissance Child Super Saturday Enrichment. Children are invited to three Saturdays where hands-on science activities will be presneted from 10:00 - 3:00.
On March 20, 2021, the first Super Saturday will include an introduction to Energy. There will be learning activities throughout the day centered around different energy sources and how they can be utilized.
On April 24th, children will learn about chemistry by doing hands-on activities, using safe ingredients. The highlights will be chemistry with water. Miss Pat and Miss Kaylyn will lead the emerging mad scientists.
On May 15th, the activities will center around rocketry. Children will have the opportunity to launch their own hydro-rocket, as well as learn the process to produce "rocket fuel". They will have the opportunity to fly drones and learn about wind energy.
ETSU follows CDC guidelines, which includes limited enrollment and social distancing. Many activities will take place outdoors. Each child needs to bring their own lunch and to wear a mask.
The registration fee is $185 when registering for all three Super Saturdays or $75 each. Please call 800-222-3878 to register or go to this link - www.etsu.edu/professionaldevelopment and click Youth Programs.
